I love this place so much it has become a staple and a standard by which I judge other bars. Don't get me wrong, Sams is a local bar filled with local folks. Most of the patrons are easy going, hard working people, that just enjoy the bar life. Great atmosphere to start or end a night. Because of this bar I have sought out local towny bars in other towns/cities like in Florence, Italy or New Orleans, LA. I had managed to find local pubs off the beaten path because of my extensive pleasurable experiences at Sams. I will forever live this place for the beer choices, excellent cocktails, but especially the atmosphere created and maintained by the bartenders and regulars. ”
